I have been tying flies, especially classic salmon flies since more than 25 years and have been
flyfishing even longer. This includes tying on different exhibitions and game fairs all over Germany and Europe.
I am able to tie all classic salmon fly patterns, preferably after Pryce-Tannatt (first published
1914) or Kelson. The first one, a wonderful book from 1895 shows all the traditional patterns which were created. It contains more than 350 different flies. Just send me a mail if you are interested in one or the other.
Please accept a production period of approximately 10 days for classic and 5 days for fishable flies
since I prefer to tie these flies according to your demands, even if such beautiful and highly requested standard patterns like for example Silver Doctor, Green Highlander, Durham Ranger, Butcher or Jock Scott are asked
for. In order to let you evaluate my style and the high quality of the used materials I have published some samples of classic flies on these pages. Since many collectors like to have their flies framed, I also
offer this option. You can take a look at different colours of wood and kinds of passe-partouts available in the section ”framed flies” See the traditionals... By the way: In the most important German
fly-fishing magazine, the ”Fliegenfischen” many articles were published. If interested, take a look at the part ”Press”. In 1995 I became a Master Tier, duly
elected by the North American Salmon Fund, Rejkjavik. |
